2016 has been the year for change in the fashion calendar and following on from the likes of Burberry, Paul Smith, Tom Ford and Vetements, Kenzo have announced this week that they too will be breaking away from the traditional schedule.

Beginning with their Autumn/Winter 2017 collection, Kenzo will be combining their men’s and women’s runway shows, with the new format kicking off at the Paris men’s show on the 22nd January. Moving forward, the brand will be showing their main collections in January and June, however they will continue to maintain a presence at the fashion weeks in March and September with “Memento,” which could be anything from surprise special projects, to events.

This comes as a number of other brands announce that they will be mixing up the way they present their collections in the future. Just recently Paul Smith announced that they will be presenting their first coed show in Paris in January, while Gucci have also announced plans to combine their men’s and women’s runway shows.
