The early days
Established in 2002 by Heidi Gosman and Penny Klein, Heidi Klein was initially a small boutique one-stop holiday shop in London’s Notting Hill. The store was designed with evocative decor that transported the customer to their holiday retreat. Whitewashed wood, palm leaves and the scent of coconut were all considered a part of the shopping experience. The very concept of the store attempted to transform holiday shopping from a stressful necessity to something far more enjoyable.
A shift in focus…
Two years had passed and Heidi Klein decided to turn their hand to a swimwear collection of their own. After hearing feedback from clients about what was truly desirable in swimwear, the brand crafted their own alluring range which became an immediate success. The unique cut and flawless fit of each garment was highly sought after and distributed to influential department stores, boutiques and resorts across the world.
A global success
The brand has since soared in popularity and now sells their clothing in over 150 stores in 39 countries globally. Heidi Klein remains very much an independent brand that continues to develop each season to bring the most sensual, elegant and luxurious clothing to complement its client’s tastes. The label has been the object of celebrity attention too with famous faces like Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and Jennifer Anniston all seen wearing its exquisite swimwear.
