Pretty Green At Zee and Co.

Liam Gallagher has long been the epitome of cool, his laid back style with a nod to the past has been inspiring others to follow his lead since he burst onto the scene in the early 1990’s. It seems only natural that Liam has decided to create his own fashion label based upon his own style; Pretty Green was launched in 2009 and has already become an iconic label synonymous with fashion and music.

Liam Gallagher named the company after a song by the Jam with a logo that harks back to The Beatles rubber sole album. He has always had a huge fascination with the Beatles particularly John Lennon which can be seen in his style and appearance which has filtered down alongside a great admiration of Ian Brown which can definitely be seen in his appearance.

The Collections

Pretty Green has split the clothing into 2 distinct collections the Green Label which is a casual range that has been designed for everyday wear and chilling out. The colour palate for the Green Label is incredibly wearable, this is clothing that has been designed to have a mass appeal and to reflect the muted tones of Gallagher’s own wardrobe.

There is a strong denim influence with great jeans and denim shirts that are reminiscent of 90’s fashion but feel incredibly modern. Like many of the men’s clothing labels Pretty Green has their own collection of polo shirts, the man’s chill out top of choice, with a logo on the left hand chest made out of various different materials. Fans of the Green Label include Joe Cole who is not only a great footballer but something of a style icon, he was spotted out wearing a Pretty Green t shirt and looked casual and cool.

The Black Label is the smarter more refined version of the line, the collection of knitwear is incredibly fine and again the colours are understated letting the quality of the clothes do the talking.

The suits from the Black Label are already winning approval of the rich and famous and they have already been seen on the likes of cult actor James Buckley aka Jay from the inbetweeners. This only looks set to grow as the company goes from strength to strength.

Although the label is fairly young it has already won awards, Pretty Green were named menswear brand of the year at the 2010 draper awards. That is because Liam Gallagher has created a fashion label that reflects both his passion for music and for fashion that is wearable and accessible for everyone.
