Michael Kors is already a leader in the designer accessories department, however he’s decided to step up his game even further by incorporating a little tech savviness into his latest designs.

Yes, after months of teasing, the brand’s first ever smartwatches are now on the market!

The likes of Apple and Samsung may have beat them to it in terms of technology, but Michael Kors has definitely added a more glamorous touch to the gadget. Coming in two variations to suit the brand’s male and female clientele, the smartwatches entitled Michael Kors Access, are available in a dazzling gold plated design, or an alternative sportier look.

The smaller and more feminine of the two designs can be compared to the brand’s iconic Bradshaw watch, coming in a choice of gold, silver, rose gold or navy blue and featuring a smart linked bracelet and signature Michael Kors engraved branding. The larger more masculine design hints at the Dylon watch and comprises of a choice of black, silver or gold casing with a silicone strap and buckle fastening.

The Access collection offers countless customisation options and not only is there a selection of interchangeable bands available, allowing you to switch between a linked, leather or silicone strap, but thanks to the smartwatch technology you can alter your display options for the look you’re after. Using the Michael Kors Android Wear app you are able to change everything from the colour of the screen to match your outfit, to the face layout to best suit your needs.

Enough about the aesthetics, let’s get to the tech part. The smartwatches will run on the Android Wear platform, which is compatible with Android and iOS devices, meaning you will be able to receive email, text, WhatsApp etc. alerts directly to your wrist. You’ll also be able to download a range of apps, from mapping tools, to your favourite music platform and fitness trackers. Snazzy, right?
